The Federation
2017 Activities Business & News

The Federation of Chinese Golf Clubs was formed to foster golf activities among the various Chinese Golf Clubs, primarily on the West Coast of the US. The list has been augmented by the addition of Vancouver, BC, Victoria, BC, and Tucson, AZ as well as Hawaii.

Each year the Federation supports several large tournaments that draw from the memberships of the various clubs. Next year's tournaments are listed to the right, along with information on entering, courses, etc.

If you are interested in participating in one of the member clubs, click on the CLUBS link and go to the website for the club in your area.

Organization Messages

At the "Memorial Day" tournament hosted by the Sacramento Chinese Golf Club, Rocky Yee passed the gavel to Sheila Lee to become the next Federation President, our first woman President. Rocky has been leader for 4 years during which the Federation has set up rotations for the next few years, held tournaments in Tucson and Maui, and has been a very stable force championing golf among friends. We all thank Rocky for a terrific tenure.

New officers for the Federation have been announced (with an asterisk):

President - Sheila Lee (Foon Hay)
1st Vice President - Gene Wong (Vancouver)
2nd Vice President - John Sturges (Portland)
Secretary/Treasurer - Steve Vines (Los Angeles) *

* Steve has agreed to stay on until a new Secretary/Treasurer can be elected. If you are interested in moving into this position, let Sheila or the webmaster know.

Portland is hosting their Labor Day weekend event on September 1 3, 2017.  We will be playing the Reserve Vineyards and the OGA.  Click on this link to join a great group of golf enthusiasts in Portland for a fun tournament.

Sheila Lee assumes her leadership position on June 1 and is looking forward to learning the position as well as meeting many of the Federation members in the coming months. She's an avid golfer and is highly organized. So expect great things in the coming two years.
