CONSTITUTION
FOON HAY SENIORS GOLF CLUB
FOUNDED 2003
Name
The name of the Club shall be the Foon Hay Seniors
Golf Club, henceforth referred to as The Club or Foon Hay. Foon
Hay was founded to further the game of golf among the members
and with the community, and to promote good fellowship and
better relationships among its members and friends through golf.
Membership
Membership in this Club shall be open to anyone
interested in the game of golf who is at least 55 years of age
and of good moral character possessing an interest in the game
of golf. At no time shall the membership increase to such an
extent that the facilities of the Club would be taxed beyond its
capacity.
Officers
The powers of this Club shall be vested in an
EXECUTIVE BOARD composed of the elected officers as the By-Laws
of the Club may provide.
The decision of the Executive Board sitting as a whole in all
club matters shall be final, subject only to an appeal to the
general membership. The EXECUTIVE BOARD shall have general
control over all individual officers and committees and may, for
good cause, declare any office vacant.
Meetings
Regular and Special Meetings of the Club shall be held
as provided in the By-Laws.
By-Laws
This Club adopted By-Laws embodying additional
provisions for the governance of this Club by a majority vote of
the members of the Club voting. The By-Laws may be amended from
time to time in accordance with the provisions therein
contained.
Club Associations
The Club shall be an Associate Club of the NCGA and
all members shall become members of NCGA – the Northern
California Golf Association.
Amendments
Amendments to this Constitution may be made at any
regular or special meeting called for that purpose, by a
two-thirds (2/3) vote of the membership present provided that
due notice of such proposed amendment shall have been mailed or
posted to the club web site at least ten (10) days before such
meeting. Such vote may also be conducted using electronic means
following posting on the website and allowing at least ten (10)
days to complete voting.
